System Alignment with Apprenticeship: 3-Part Webinar Series Part 3: Increasing Service Alignment in Apprenticeship Initiatives

Once alignment assessment is completed, how can this information be used to strengthen an apprenticeship initiative? In this session, we looked at what this assessment tells us about "where we are” and moving to "where we would like to be" in alignment. Using lessons from "Implementation Science" we considered the engagement of critical drivers, their roles and their importance to systems change that is often required in the objectives of apprenticeship expansion.

Objectives:

• Recognize the importance of Consensus in Alignment Definition
• Assess how to make decisions on whether or not increased alignment will benefit an apprenticeship initiative
• Understand how to use the assessment information to improve alignment

Registered Youth Apprenticeship Role Clarity for Educators, Apprentices and Employers

When beginning your RYA program, it is important to have role clarity from the beginning and adjust as needed during development and expansion. Recognizing these roles and communicating the expectations with your team increases effectiveness and communication for the many moving parts of the program. Clarifying the various responsibilities simplifies the process for all involved including the deliverables to the US DOL. In this session we gave an overview of  the various roles internal educational teams, employers, and the apprentice.
