Registered Youth Apprenticeship Role Clarity for Educators, Apprentices and Employers

When beginning your RYA program, it is important to have role clarity from the beginning and adjust as needed during development and expansion. Recognizing these roles and communicating the expectations with your team increases effectiveness and communication for the many moving parts of the program. Clarifying the various responsibilities simplifies the process for all involved including the deliverables to the US DOL. In this session we gave an overview of  the various roles internal educational teams, employers, and the apprentice.

System Alignment with Apprenticeship Part 2: Assessing Apprenticeship Alignment

In “Assessing Service Alignment” we discussed the value of leadership vs. “being leveraged” for the success of an apprenticeship initiative and the quality of alignment for those in a leadership role. These two areas of focus frame alignment assessment for apprenticeship initiatives, and the process for completing that assessment. How to complete this assessment and support provided by the Registered Apprenticeship Technical Assistance Center of Excellence on Strategic Partnership and System Alignment was shared in this session.

Promoting Higher Business Engagement in Registered Apprenticeship

This session focused on giving workforce and education stakeholders tools and strategies to increase business engagement in Registered Apprenticeships. Participants learned to recognize the importance of business engagement in every state of Registered Apprenticeship, assess their current level of business engagement and identify where engagement can be increased, and utilize tools and strategies to implement that promote business engagement.
