Peter Simon and Jennie Mollica from High Road Alliance discussed their research on adult education engagement with pre-apprenticeship programs across California as well as a concrete example of providing technical assistance utilizing HRA's Equitable Apprenticeship Toolkit in building an innovative pre-apprenticeship involving an adult education program, a public transit agency, labor union, and community organizations.

The Center of Excellence team members from Safal Partners and NAWDP hosted a Super Session and break out workshop on U.S. DOL grant-funded opportunities to access TA around critical topics including WIOA implementation, Registered Apprenticeship co-enrollment, pandemic/economic response and virtual service delivery, fiscal/administrative/operational strategies, employer engagement, and performance management, including DEIA work.

Virtual Institute: States Driving Apprenticeship Expansion

The Virtual Institute brought together state apprenticeship expansion grantees and key partners for a national dialogue on apprenticeship, with a focus on states as facilitators and drivers of Registered Apprenticeship expansion. Center of Excellence leadership spoke on the Center’s work and how state grantees can both access and contribute to technical assistance on topics relating to apprenticeship alignment with education and workforce systems.
