The Center is seeking best practices by workforce boards on Registered Apprenticeship implementation. If selected, your submission will be disseminated nationally and help create scale for RA adoption through better alignment and integration with public workforce funding through WIOA. The inaugural awards will be announced at the National Association of Workforce Development Professionals (NAWDP) Annual Conference in May 2022.
Center partner, NAWDP, is teaming up with host sponsor Maryland Workforce Association to offer a Business Services Academy. This academy is designed to equip Business Services Representatives with the tools, knowledge, and expertise needed to excel in the ever-evolving landscape of business services. Participants will receive comprehensive training on core competencies, expert guidance on best practices, and career advancement and networking opportunities.
Center staff will be presenting the workshop, Registered Apprenticeship: An Employer Pipeline Solution and Why You Should be Selling It. Participants will understand how creating RA programs not only meets your employer's needs but also meets WIOA performance needs as well.
